Synopsis

This picture-book biography tells the story of Crazy Horse, the famous Native American hero. When Crazy Horse was a young boy, he was called Curly, because of his curly black hair. He was always considered a good, strong leader by his Lakota tribe. One day, his tribe went to battle, and the great Chief Conquering Bear was hurt. Curly took it upon himself to run to the hills and look for a vision that would enable him to understand how to help his tribe--and from that day on, he was called Crazy Horse.
