Synopsis

After the exhausting defeat of brutal, monstrous King Galbatorix, the young Dragon Rider, Eragon, and his faithful companion, Saphira, set off for Ellesmera, where the elves dwell. Despite encounters with all manner of interesting people--and learning even more than he had dreamed about fighting and magic--Eragon discovers that treachery awaits him in every direction. In the meantime, his cousin Roran must engage in a fight that could jeopardize Eragon's life. This is the sequel to ERAGON, the first book in the best-selling Inheritance trilogy.
