My 15 yr old daughter read this book when we got it for her for Christmas and then I took her to the movie. She is not an avid reader and she read it in a week and with her own money bought the second. It was all she could talk about. So I read it after I saw the movie so I could talk about it with her. I enjoyed it. It was an easy read, I couldn't put it down and I couldn't wait for the next and the next and the next. Between the two of us it was a race to see who would get to the next book. A great book for teenage girls to read, kissing and no premarital sex.

I wanted to listen to this book due to the premisebefore my middle school girls got hold of it, and I was surprised that it was a very good read. The vocab is a little challenging for 7th grade, however the words in context imply the meaning which is a great enhancement for the coming SAT's. The ending is weak, like many series, but I am moving on to books 2 and 3 to see what happens to Bella and I think my girls will do the same. Don't be put off by vampires... it is a traditional good vs evil theme and so far good wins out. Bella tells the truth and when faced with moral dilema chooses to do what is right. Hope this is helpful for all of you out there! p.s. There is sexual tension but so far only 2 short kisses since Edward can't be close to Bella Can you guess why?

this book was all the rage around the premiere of the movie and so i went and picked it up only to learn it was a chick book i am angry because everyone i knew at the time said go read it and then watch the movie the book was ok but it turns out that the book left me wanting to read more and then when the movie came out on dvd i rented it and found a gooey love story that was gross and unappealing to me so i said the book is better than the movie because i can twist the words into a spin off of an action romance the second book was bleh third meh fourth i started reading it hot and steamy woo hoo but after 50 pages i lost it so i am going to rent it and read it i heard they are coming out with the book midnight sun and that sounds better because it's from edwards point of view the writing is **** but it ***** you in and makes you want more do not read if you don't like romance novels or even whiny teenage girls

I really enjoyed this audio book. I think the story teller did a great job giving the details of this book. Also, I suggest this audio book for those who have a hard time concentrating on reading. Listening can be a way to create your own imagination through someone else's words.

I like easy to read, loose yourself, books and this whole series is one. And not only for young girls even if just at heart My 15 yr old don loved the series and actually recommended it to me! Nice love story and even, at times, suspenseful.
