I am a fan of Lisa Jackson and know that several of her plots continue over two or three novels. This story's plot about a serial killer who leaves his victims tied naked to a tree to die of exposure to the cold is just one of the two stories going on in this book. The second story line, about victim Jillian Rivers, breaks off of the first about 2/3 of the way through the book and is the only one resolved at the end of the book. We are left to wonder how the story ends until the sequel comes out in August 2009. The story is enjoyable but I found myself drifting in places because keeping up with two plots at the same time makes for a long read.

I had seen several negative reviews of this book so I kept putting off getting it but I enjoyed it for the most part. If you like Lisa Jackson you will like this book. I am disappointed that we have to wait so long for the continuation but I read plenty of other authors to keep me busy.

All in all not a bad book but you'll certainly be left hanging. I swore up a blue streak when I got to the end. You WON'T know the end till AUGUST 2009 when the next one comes out so you might want to hold off a bit on this one LOL !!
