Sam Alden was born in Portland, Oregon. His comic Haunter was included in Best American Comics 2013, and he is the recipient of the Ignatz Awards for Promising New Talent and Best Comic. He now lives and works as an illustrator, cartoonist, and animator in Los Angeles.
