I stumbled upon one of this author's historial romances and liked it so sought out some of her other work and came across this one. I really liked it. She gives a new twist to the racial/prejudice card. I really like how she keeps the relationship issues as real as she can given the vampire nature of some of the characters in the book. She does a good job of keeping the sex scenes hot without them ending up offensive. The vampire character is just as hesitant as any other individual to risk being hurt emotionally, and he definately struggles a bit. I also like that she creates a strong female character without losing her feminity in the process. She is no one of my favorite authors.
