Synopsis

This truly psychological mystery is the first installment in the Liebermann Papers, a series set in early 20th-century Vienna starring psychoanalyst Dr. Max Liebermann, a follower of Freud who uses his insights into the human mind to solve crimes. The locked-room murder of a medium, dead of a gunshot wound despite the absence of a bullet or a gun, so perplexes Detective Oskar Rheinhardt that he requires the assistance of his friend and fellow music-lover Dr. Liebermann to puzzle out the mystery.
