The sheriff of Justice, Illinois, is hunting a killer. Women visiting town are being murdered, tourists in nice hotels, money still in their billfolds, jewelry still on the dresser. Quiet kills - they go to sleep and never awaken. The sheriff is not pleased to find the new detective in town, Rae Gabriella, working the case on behalf of one of the families. She's staying in the same hotel as one of the victims - and her classy looks and upscale car suggest she could be the next victim. This title has been transferred to Tyndale Publishing.

So, if you're looking for a romance, this is not it. I love Dee's work, and once I get past that I'm fine - just be forwarned. There was some romance in her O'Malley series, and even a bit in Witness, but not much here at all. Still, it was an excellent read. I'm hoping there is a sequel to maybe wrap up some of the lose ends though which is why I rated it 3 stars.
