Synopsis

In 1975 at the privileged Schuyler College, roommates Genna Meade and Minette Swift form an uneasy friendship despite their widely different backgrounds. Genna is from a liberal activist family that traces itself back to the college's founder. Minette is the daughter of a D.C. preacher, and one of the few black students at the college. After a series of racially motivated incidents, Minette falls into a depression, and Genna begins to uncover a dark secret about her family's past.
