Synopsis

As Mary Hightower slumbers in a glass coffin, waiting to be reborn back into Everlost, her allies and henchmen begin to carry out her terrible mission. Under Milos's direction, the skinjackers begin to bring more children into Everlost, through any means possible. Mary's army is joined by a newcomer: Jix, a spy for the Mayan King of Everlost. Jix, a fur-jacker who skinjacks great cats, has his own agenda. Meanwhile, Mikey McGill desperately mounts a rescue for Allie the Outcast. Along the way, Mikey encounters a creature the scares even the mighty McGill: a scar wraith, a person who has one foot in the world of the living, and one foot in Everlost, whose touch can extinguish an afterlight forever. As the battle draws nearer, it becomes clear that the outcome will determine not just the fate of Everlost, but the fate of the living world as well.
