Synopsis

From the Earth to the Moon tells of an American society of artillery enthusiasts who attempt to build a cannon able to launch human beings to the moon. Meanwhile, Round the Moon gives details of their trip orbiting the moon and the breathtaking adventures they undergo when things start to go very wrong. While Verne often predicted future technology, he was far off in the sort of technology that would eventually bring about the moon landing.
