Synopsis

Nikki Turner, the New York Times bestselling "Queen of Hip-Hop Lit" drops dirt on the music biz in her juicy new novel

When Fabiola Mays hits the stage, all eyes are on her—she has the looks, the moves, and the voice to be the hottest diva alive. Her talent—and sex appeal—attracts the attention of the music industry's most influential (and shadiest) mogul, one who will do whatever it takes to get Fabiola into his bed. Too fly to bow down to such sleaze, Fabiola earns herself powerful enemies and an unlikely ally. When Casino, an older gangster battling demons of his own in the music biz and on the streets, crosses her path, they pool their hopes and their assets to fight for a brighter future.

With Nikki Turner's signature flair—and a dishy, inside-the-biz approach—Ghetto Superstar will have fans and new readers alike hollering for more.

I have several of Nikki Turner's books and they are a hit OR miss. She has never been my favorite writer whether it be about the hood life or not. She has much growth to she needs to invest in but let me say this- after six plus books - how much more growth do you need? I could not get into this book I read about half way, then returned it. It was not realistic, it glossed over the hard core industry and made the main character out to be a goody-goody who can maintain her self respect in the industry not saying it can't happen, but the way she write it-wasn't realistic. Don't waste your time.
