This one was a good step above Comanche Heart, not quite as good as Comanche Moon in my opinion but not a bad read. I guess it bothers me that all of Andersons female leads seem to become so submissive throughout a lot of the story. For some characters it makes sense, but for others it just seems out of place. There was a little of that in this book. The other thing is that I thought Loretta didnt act like the character Anderson made her out to be in the first book. Considering what Loretta had been through in Comanche Moon youd think she would be a little more open with her daughter with regard to wifely obligations. However, that being said it was still an enjoyable story. The ending was a complete shock to me ‘in a good way’, I never saw it coming. I really liked Jake and Indigo was likable too. The story is dynamic with lots of twists and turns, so overall I thought it made a good addition to the series.
