Synopsis

There's no Kay Scarpetta in Cornwell's latest, but there are plenty of laughs and lots of suspense in this dark comedy about a small island off the coast of Virginia whose zany residents (one of whom appears to be a serial killer) attempt to secede from the state.

I couldn't even finish this book it was so boring. I like most of her other work, but I would definitely skip this one!

Don't know what she was trying to do but she sure failed. This book is almost unreadable. I've read most of her other books and couldn't even get through this.

This might be the worst book I've ever read. What was Cornwell thinking? Hated the characters & the plot. If you enjoy her work, do yourself a favor and skip this one.
