Synopsis

Colby was a 13-year-old city boy on his first hunting trip. He was half-frozen and hadn’t seen a single deer, but those trifles were far from his mind. Instead, he found himself rapt by a rifle-toting country girl named Aubrey Reece. The two felt an immediate bond and would become high school sweethearts, but what they didn’t know was, after years of separation, they’d have to rely on their bond to save themselves—and the world as they know it.

After spending thirty years in Canada, Colby moves back to Georgia where he reluctantly yearns to reconnect with Aubrey, who works in the town’s antiques market. But, just as they rekindle their young love, Aubrey disappears after accepting a role in a local film production and finds herself caught in the machinations of an underground society trying to alter the course of human evolution.
