Maupin's goodness, humility and wisdom come through so clearly in this novella. It can be enjoyed by itself or as an epilogue to the Tales of the City stories. I defy anyone, gay or straight, to listen to this man without falling in love with him. I promise that you'll hate to have the last disk reach its end.
