This is the amazing story of six people coming together in order to save their respective worlds. This first installment is the love story between Hoyt and Glenna, but it's so much more. Here, you learn what the mission is to save the worlds. You meet Morrigan, who's entrusted Hoyt, a great sorcerer, to gather his group of six, including his brother Cian, a vampire, who has to help to destroy Lillith the Queen of the Vampires. You don't want to put this book down once you get started. I recommend this book 100 times over.

The story itself was very good. However, I found the narration difficult to listen to. The narrator had difficulty with female voices. They tended to sound extremely whiny. I ended up taking the rest of the trilogy out in hard copy to read and found that much better.

I think this book and the whole trilogy are some of Roberts best. There is nothing really trite about these. The characters are very fleshed out. If you enjoy supernatural thrillers/romances you will like this one.

I've read the Circle Trilogy twice and I am sure, will read it again and again. The characters are well developed and you get introduced to the lovers when their part of the trilogy is most important. The well grounded love of Hoyt and Glenna is the perfect love to start the trilogy with.
