Synopsis

In this sequel to NO ANGEL, the Lyttons' family saga continues, beginning in 1928. Celia Lytton is now head of the family's publishing empire, and she comes into conflict with Barty Miller, the gifted foster child who has been raised by the family and who is possibly getting too big for her britches. Meanwhile, the beautiful twins, Venetia and Adele, have to learn the hard way that life isn't all champagne and roses. And when World War II enters the picture, it brings change not only to the Lyttons' personal lives but to the business as well.
