Synopsis

By edict of the king, the mighty Scottish laird Alec Kincaid must take an English bride. His choice was Jamie the feisty youngest daughter of Baron Jamison. This was a good book by Julie Garwood. I'm noticing the heroine of her stories seems to always be sweet and completely devoted to her man. This is the story of Jamie and Alec. Alec is a scottish laird and Jamie is a simple English girl. Their kings forced them to wed eachother. Jamie is a cute character and Alec is strong. This was a quick read for me and it didn't drag. There is not a lot of history told in the book. I was glad. I hate reading a romance book jam packed with tons of dates and historical events. If I wanted that, I would read a history book. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
