Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee's pleasure cruise through the murky waters of self-examination contains a plethora of lifestyle advice--if your lifestyle happens to consist of having a lot of sex, and scheming to have a lot more sex, on a daily basis. TOMMYLAND (the title both of his book and of the house in which many of his exploits take place) chronicles multiple episodes of the aforementioned behavior, often in explicit detail. He also takes time to trace his Greek roots, recall his marriages to actresses Heather Locklear and Pamela Anderson, and even talk about music. But mostly, TOMMYLAND is a wild ride through a life lived to the hilt, with no pussyfooting around the nitty-gritty details of his enthusiastic pursuit of as many women as happen to be in his vicinity at any given time. Most of Lee's advice is unrepeatable--one gem in particular should do wonders for the sales figures of celery and pineapple juice. Reading the drummer's unapologetically hedonistic tale is much like talking to the bad kid your parents told you to stay well away from: you probably wouldn't want to be him, but his stories are a blast.
