Synopsis

Patrick J. Buchanan, the famed (if controversial) journalist and former candidate for president, excoriates the neoconservative arm of the right wing for hijacking the Grand Old Party and betraying conservative ideals. Buchanan sees Bush and company as big-government spenders, Wilsonian internationalists, who are more concerned with heavy-handed power plays than with truly principled policy making. He identifies a fault-line in the Republican Party which he thinks may become a growing, history-making rift.
