A dying man's clairvoyant prophesies about his grandson, Jimmy Tock, reveal five terrifying and horrific events, occuring on five different days at different periods in his life, that will turn the young man's world upside down. Reprint.
I really enjoyed this book. Very interesting plot and keeps you wondering until the end.
This book was thoroughly enjoyable! Different than the Koontz books I'd read in the past, but still tense and edgy. Highly recommend it!
I haven't read Dean Koontz in years sadly, he appears to have evolved into a famous-so-I-don't-have-to-think-anymore type of writer. His story premise sounds great, but the unrealistic details are more than I could handle. Two hostages being held by a deranged killer who has just shot someone front of them would probably not be discussing the smell of lemon marmalade and baked goods. I'd have enjoyed the book if I could have stood the inane conversations of the characters. Eventually I was hoping he'd shoot all of them.
I felt that the book was quite humorous, slight departure from books of this genre. I loved the plot outline and basic storyline. I like that Koontz took a step away from his normal writing style. It shows his versatility and ability to take a departure from his normal formula.
I didn't think I'd get through it, but I did! This was a pretty boring book. I usually like Dean Koontz a lot, but this book had too much description, too much filler. The bare bones of the story was good though. If you like poetry, you might like this book. Or if you're really scared of clowns.
