Synopsis

In a twist on THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER, Archer's novel features twin boys born in the '50s in Hartford, Connecticut. Separated at birth, the two follow different paths: one is raised in a working-class home and goes on to serve in Vietnam; the other goes the upper-crust Yale-lawyer-politician route. The climax of the novel comes when they become rival candidates for governor of Connecticut.
