This is a radio version of the book! This is not a unabridged version of the book.
I thought I was getting an unabridged version of The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy but there were only 9 discs in this set. Three discs for each story. All 3 stories in unabridged format would be closer to 45 discs. I realize that is a lot of discs for one shipment and I also realize that I probably should have suspected it was not the unabridged version but it is listed as unabridged so I took a chance. I would not have selected it had I known the truth. Maybe it is an unabridged version of an abridged performance? If so, then that's kind of deceptive. It reads more like a play that was recorded and made into an audio book.
