Synopsis

IIt's been a helluva week for Betsy Taylor. First, she loses her job. Then, to top things off, she's killed in a car accident. But what really bites (besides waking up in the morgue dressed in a pink suit and cheap shoes courtesy of her stepmother) is that she can't seem to stay dead. Every night she rises, with a horrible craving for blood. She's not taking too well to a liquid diet.
Worst of all, her new friends have the ridiculous idea that Betsy is the prophesied vampire queen, and they want her help in overthrowing the most obnoxious, power-hungry vampire in five centuries--a badly dressed Bela Lugosi wannabe, natch. Frankly, Betsy couldn't care less about vamp politics, but they have a powerful weapon of persuasion: designer shoes. How can any self-respecting girl say no? But a collection of Ferragamos isn't the only temptation for Betsy. IIt's just a lot safer than the scrumptious Sinclair a seductive bloodsucker whose sexy gaze seems as dangerous as a stake through the heart...

Yikes - while the writing style was funny and light enough, the story line was graphic, bloody and sexual. I'm taking the rest of the series off my queue.

This book is hilarious. Betsy can be very annoying and exhausting throught the book but the things she does when she finds out she's part of the undead are so funny. From trying to electrcute her self to jumping off a building only to be hit by a garbage truck, Betsy is one LOL moment to another. I loved this book. This series has moved to the top of my Paranormal favorite series list.

Mary Janice Davidson cracks me up. She's such a funny writer. I really enjoyed this book. I’m excited to read the rest of the series, though I’ll have to buy them. There are six books in the Betsy series, but booksfree is only carrying two. That seems odd. If you want a good laugh, and a vampire story, these are the books for you. Modern, fresh and funny.
