Synopsis

While there have been 3 adaptations of Richard Matheson's acclaimed I AM LEGEND, NONE have been faithful to Matheson's novel. Matheson DID write a script for I AM LEGEND and sold it to Hammer Films. However both the US and British Censor Boards had objections to the script. Matheson was sent a 2-page letter of changes that were demanded (the letter appears in the book). Both Matheson and Hammer films declined to make these changes. To this date the script has not been used as the basis for any of the filmed adaptations. Here for the first time is Matheson's censored script. Also included are his scripts for 'The Distributor' and 'Sweethearts and Horrors
