Synopsis

Orphaned after her parents were killed by Comanches, Loretta Simpson still lives in terror that the warriors will return, her fear so powerful, she is no longer able to speak a word.

Hunter of the Wolf believes that Loretta is a woman of ancient prophecy whom he must honor. But Loretta can only see him as the enemy who has kidnapped her, and she refuses to succumb to his control-or his touch.

Despite the hatred between their peoples, Loretta and Hunter gradually find their enmity changing to respect and care. In the midst of such conflict, it will take all the force of their love to find a safe haven.

This book was probably the best one out of the series, although Comanche Magic was pretty darn good too. Comanche Moon was the first of Andersons books Id ever read and I really enjoyed it, in fact I couldnt put it down and polished it off in about 24 hrs. Its got captivating characters, dynamic cir***stances that keep the pages turning and some great historical tid bits in there too. The story between Loretta and Hunter is very romantic and gets pretty steamy at points. The supporting characters are well developed too which I greatly appreciated. I took off one star only because there were a couple points in the story where the jump in emotion between the two main characters seemed slightly overdone in my opinion, but obviously considering how quickly I polished off the book it wasnt enough to stop me from enjoying the story. Definitely one worth reading if you like steamy, exotic romances.

This is actually a reissue, the original was published in February 1991 and was at that time published by HarperPaperbacks...... I found this book among my mother's collection and I am very glad that I just recently found it because now Amy's story has been written. I very much enjoyed this story but it was hard to get into.

I loved this book! It was well written, and I couldn't put it down. The only complaint I have is that the sequel are being released so far apart, and you can't get the original print anywhere without giving up an arm!! Great read!

I love Catherine Anderson but this book was long and just seemed like it was going on forever. It's like a tug of war with the heroine not wanting the hero because of his race and what his race did to her family, then her going to him to get help, then going back because of an Indian friend, and going back because she finally realized she loves him. I think the book could have been shorten by half. this is a rerelease.
