Dear Reader,

If you like hot men, hot action and hot attraction you’re going to love this HOT new series! HOT STUFF introduces Cate Madigan, a Boston native from a large and crazy Irish family. Cate has far too much going on to get involved in extracurricular activities, like men and marriage. She spends all day in school, earning her teaching degree, and all night working as a bartender in Boston’s South End. Ex-cop Kellen McBride has decided to make Cate’s bar his nightly haunt. He likes Cate’s sassy Irish spirit and wild red hair. He also has an ulterior motive for getting close to her. Cate has sworn off all things romantic, but when she comes home to a ransacked apartment, a roommate who has flown the coop, and a sleeping bullmastiff named Beast, Cate has no choice but to ask Kellen for help. Can Kate resist the charming Kellen McBride while keeping herself out of danger? Or will Kellen turn up the heat on Cate and everything in her life?

We know you’ll have a blast with HOT STUFF!

This book isn't a thought provoking book. But I didn't expect it to be. It's your typical boy meets girl, boy wins girl, boy and girl live happily ever after type of book. Exactly what I like in a light summer read.

This reminds me of some of her earlier work, pre- Plum. Some characters mimic those that we have seen in other series - but are recreated with a twist. In all a fun, fast, light hearted read - great for the beach!

I love Janet Evanovich. She has fun mysteries and love stories that make me laugh out loud! HOT STUFF is a great beach read….funny I read it when I was in the mountains though….It is about a cake baking bartending student Cate who lives with a female impersonator named Marty who entertains at her place of employment. Enter one night a handsome stranger who is interested in Marty because he is a professional property retriever named Kellan who is tracking down some stolen goods her roommate might have acquired. Also stir in the mix a huge friendly watch dog named Beast, Marty’s rabid female benefactor, an obsessed admirer named Pugg who refers to himself in the third person, a wild Irish family, a friend named Sharon who sells real estate and buys shoes, a party trolley hostess from Alabama named Julie who is an observer of life and writes about it, and a mysterious tenant in Apartment 2B. All combine to make a delicious summer dessert! Enjoy! T

This was a great light read. I took it with me to the beach today and laughed out loud multiple times. The story was cute, but I think the secondary characters really made this book great. This was an entertaining book and the first Janet Evanovich that I'ved read and I'll be sure to read more by her.
