Ok, not the best
This book gripped us from the onset. It is written with so much sensitivity. The narration is excellent. We loved it!
The woman who narrated this is practically whispering, well not whispering, but the whole time it sounds like she is speaking in a lowered voice so that she won't wake up sleeping people in an adjacent room. It sets for a very annoying tone. This combined with her 20 something sorority girl inflections and the agonizing beginning of this book made this unlistenable. I love Dean Koontz and have listened to numerous Koontz books, but I couldn't suffer to start disk 2. The story doesn't take off, the characters are all annoying, and Koontz just doesn't get to the point.
