Family tragedy brings a couple together in this contemporary romance by the author of PRETTY WOMAN. When Darby's beloved childhood friend Russell dies in a car accident, his nasty, gold-digging stepmother Bella completely violates his wishes by donating his organs. An anguished Darby, with the help of her three eccentric aunts, sets out to free Russell's father Marcus, now weakened by a stroke, from Bella's influence. The plot requires reconciling Marcus and Russell's brother Ben, and along the way, Darby and Ben finally act on the feelings they've always had for each other.
It's rare that I don't finish a book, even when it's not so good. This book sets a ridiculous premise and her books are generally much more engaging. I finally put it down after reading 2/3rds of it. Don't waste your time.
